Yes — with proper seasoning. KAGAYAKI's hand-hammered surface creates thousands of micro-indentations. Cooking oil fills these pores and forms a natural carbonized oil film. The "non-stick" effect is entirely physical and chemical-free. It improves the more you cook with it.

The hand-hammered texture serves a functional purpose: it reduces the flat contact area between food and pan, improves even heat distribution across the cooking surface, and provides anchor points for the natural oil film to build up. Combined with pure titanium's natural properties, it creates a cooking surface that is both healthier and more durable than coated alternatives.

: Wash and dry thoroughly. Heat over medium flame until the surface is hot. Apply a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil (flaxseed, grapeseed, or canola) with a paper towel across the cooking surface. Maintain heat for 2–3 minutes, then let cool completely. Repeat 2–3 times. Your pan is now seasoned and ready to cook.
